How to Measure Your Graphic T-Shirt
The easiest starting point for online shirt sizing is a similar shirt that already fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it, then compare its measurements with the size chart for the exact product you want.
Use the measurement diagram
Follow the points shown in that product’s diagram. Charts often label length, width and sleeve measurements A, B and C, but you should check the diagram rather than assume the letters always mean the same thing.
- Length: measure between the top and bottom points shown in the diagram.
- Width: measure across the flat garment at the indicated chest level.
- Sleeve: follow the indicated starting point and measure to the sleeve end.
Flat width is not chest circumference
A flat garment width is measured across one side of the shirt. A body chest measurement goes around your torso. Do not compare those two numbers directly. Comparing a well-fitting garment with the product chart helps you allow for the room you like to wear.
Use the chart for your chosen style
A classic tee, contoured tee and hoodie can fit differently at the same labeled size. Start with the classic T-shirt chart, women’s contoured T-shirt chart or classic hoodie chart only when it matches the style on your product page.
